On the river banks at the junction of the Sacramento and San Joaquin deltas in the East Bay of Northern California, lies the hardworking, historic steel town of Pittsburg. Yes, a Pittsburg in California!
Centrally located in the aptly named Central Addition, our neighborhood was built in 1930s to house the families of the then Columbia Steel Mill, just down the street.
Today, Casa Los Medanos is 3 stories tall and features 3 private, independent units. We host quarterly and mid-term visiting professionals in healthcare, oil and gas, renewable energy, and other local skilled trades and industries.
In a world that’s more lonely than ever, we hope Casa Los Medanos inspires us to dream of a denser, multi-family future in America.

The Studio
A 500 square foot moss green casita with a kitchenette & stone shower in the clouds. Decor inspired by architecture, nature, & art. Located on the top floor. Sleeps 2 in a Queen bed.
The Upper
A 1,500 square foot oasis featuring 2 bedrooms, about 40 houseplants, a vaulted ceiling living room with an enormous picture window, a spa-like stone bathroom with separate bath and shower, and a 10 person capacity formal dining room. Sleeps 4 in a King and a Queen bed.
The Lower
A 1,500 square foot sanctuary featuring 2.5 bedrooms, modern, recessed lighting throughout, and a huge spa-like bathroom with a bath and shower. Sleeps 4 in King beds. Extra Queen bed for 2 guests in non-conforming bedroom, on request and approval.
The Entire
The full house can be rented for group gatherings where the privacy and independence matter. Whether it’s a coworking retreat, a team site visit, or multi-generational family living, this is just the right amount of togetherness. Sleeps 10, all in King and Queen beds. Features 3 separate kitchens.
